Enrollment Marketing and Communication Manager- Coastal Carolina University

Coastal Carolina University invites applications for an Enrollment Marketing and Communication Manager. The Enrollment Marketing and Communication Manager develops a comprehensive communication and marketing plan to increase interest in and enrollment at the University through print, electronic, digital, website, and social media mediums. This position works closely with campus partners. This position reports to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and serves on the leadership team for the Enrollment Management division.

 Public Information Director I (BC30/61121921), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 06. Salary range: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00.   Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university. Evening and weekend work required during peak seasons and for weekend recruitment/enrollment events. Must be able to maintain confidentiality, exhibit analytical and problem-solving skills, manage constant interruptions, and handle multiple concurrent tasks.

 


Duties

Duties include, but are not limited to:

Serves as the primary liaison with University Marketing and Communication to develop high-quality print and electronic communication at all stages of the admissions funnel. Collaborates with external vendors to maintain on-brand print and electronic communication that meets brand standards. 

Develops, authors, and edits the department’s communication plan for first-year, transfer, readmit, and non-traditional prospective students and applicants. Programs CRM to ensure successful delivery of all electronic and mailed communication. 

Manages departmental mailings to include decision letters, direct mailing, and bulk mail services. Coordinates with vendor for all bulk mail services. Manages the publication inventory. Reviews and tracks costs on all projects to stay within budget constraints, including postage, print, and outside vendor costs. 

Proofreads and edits all external communication, including website and social media. Co-moderates the departmental website and attends content management training. 

Hires, trains and supervises the enrollment marketing and communication staff. Trains staff to ensure that prospective student and applicant inquiries are processed in a timely manner. Holds routine staff meetings and provides ongoing performance assessment.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Three years experience in publications design, marketing and editing.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Excellent written and oral communications skills, computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and Adobe Creative suite/Photoshop. Must have expertise in publications and communications development. Must have the ability to form effective working relations with the University Marketing and Communication office and coordinate the efforts of a variety of individuals and groups. Knowledge of inventory control and postal regulations. Ability to communicate effectively and effectively supervise direct reports.
