By joining, you will belong to a dynamic association that includes some 2,300+ professionals. SACAC membership will provide opportunities to apply and grow your passion for the profession while enhancing your professional and personal growth. As a member, you are able to take advantage of reduced rates for SACAC professional development events, represent your institutions at various SACAC events, access members-only resources such as webinars, and enjoy many other benefits.

The membership year runs from September 1 - August 31 though you may join at any time (please note, memberships completed or renewed after June 1 will expire the following calendar year). Membership cost is $45 per individual unless you qualify for the complimentary Free Access Membership (see below).

Please note, SACAC will be increasing the annual membership dues to $60, effective for the 2026-2027 membership year. This decision, thoughtfully approved by our Board of Directors, comes after much care and consideration. It is our first adjustment since 2018, and it will allow us to continue providing the high-quality programs, resources, and professional opportunities you value. As this change takes effect, we will continue to offer the Free Access Membership program for public high school and community-based organization college access counselors and staff in the SACAC region.

SACAC’s Free Access Membership (FAM) welcomes public high school and community-based organization college access counselors and staff in the SACAC region to join at no cost. Any staff member supporting students and families with post-secondary college planning at a public high school in the SACAC region* that provides free education through public funds as well as professionals who work for a not-for-profit community-based organization 501(c)(3) in the SACAC region* that serves students and promotes or provides access to higher education qualify for complimentary Free Access Membership. (* = Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico & the US Virgin Islands).
