Director of Programs and Outreach - The Scholarship Academy

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Programs and Outreach located in Atlanta, GA at The Scholarship Academy. Are you committed to helping low-income students find educational pathways? Director of Programs and Outreach will ensure that The Scholarship Academy’s programmatic strategies are effectively implemented across all segments of the organization. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about leading the overall strategic and operational responsibility for Scholarship Academy staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission. This role is ideal for someone with extensive college access experience with an emphasis on financial aid planning.

Specific Responsibilities

Leadership & Management - 35% of Time:

• Ensure ongoing local programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals
• Provide inspirational leadership and direction to all program staff, and ensure the continued development and management of a professional and efficient organization; establish effective decision-making processes that will enable The Scholarship Academy to achieve its long- and short-term goals and objectives
• Manage existing partnerships and collaborations, developing a core pipeline for onboarding, implementation and reporting of agreed upon deliverables
• Manage overall program implementation budget, in line with established guidelines to ensure cost-efficiency
  
  

Strengthening Program infrastructure and Operations - 25%

• Ensure the delivery of high quality services while developing policies and procedures manual to support organizational sustainability
• Facilitate cross-departmental collaboration and strengthen internal communications with staff throughout the organization; create and promote a positive work environment that supports consistency throughout the organization's strategy, operational methods, and data collection needs
• Lead the design and implementation of a robust volunteer recruitment and engagement effort to augment the organization’s capacity to serve
• Support the execution of comprehensive marketing, branding and development strategies that will ensure consistency throughout the organization and enhance revenue from major donors, foundations, government agencies, and corporations

Program Development And Evaluation – 15%

• Actualize the delivery of programs through new curriculum modules for high school students, parents, and college access advisors
• Develop effective systems to track progress, and regularly evaluate program components, so as to measure successes that can be effectively communicated to the board, funders, and other constituents
• Generate timely program/grant reports that articulate the organization’s overall impact to key stakeholders
