Director of Admission - Hendrix College
Hendrix College is seeking a full-time, 12-month Director of Admission. Reporting to the Vice President for Enrollment, the Director of Admission is responsible for managing the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of first-year and transfer students. In addition to managing an assigned recruitment territory, this innovative leader will oversee 5 territory managers and will guide the team in strategic recruitment planning, paying special attention to creating a personalized approach in all recruiting efforts. The Director of Admission will serve as the primary contact point for the admission evaluation process. This member of the enrollment leadership team will be highly visible on and off campus and will foster a culture of excellence, enthusiasm, and collaboration.
Core Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of recruitment and admission strategies by staying apprised of national trends and institutional specific data to meet and exceed enrollment goals
- Provide strong leadership to the admission team to set the tone for a creative and personalized recruitment approach
- Manage a recruitment territory, including lead cultivation, counselor and high school relationship development, application and yield activities, presentations, and other recruitment events
- Collaborate within the enrollment division and the university community in relation to recruitment efforts
- Represent the division as requested by VP for Enrollment
- Other Duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive admission experience, including supervisory responsibilities required
- Slate experience preferred
This role will require frequent travel and evening/weekend hours. A valid Driver’s License is required. The position may be expected to lift up to 25lbs and walk or stand for long periods of time.
