Summer Seminar is an annual workshop designed to provide new college counselors on the high school side valuable information about core responsibilities of the role and pertinent issues in the field. Participants are led by a diverse Summer Seminar faculty, ideally from both the high school and college sides, from both public and private institutions, and with a range of years of experience. In addition to sharing knowledge and building skills together, our goals also include creating community and ensuring that our new colleagues feel well-supported and “never alone” as they enter the field.
