Mississippi Drive-in Workshop & Advocacy Day

Description

Join us for both the Mississippi Drive-in Workshop and Advocacy Day (or just attend one!) This will be an opportunity to connect with fellow high school counselors, learn more about what impacts your students, enjoy great food, and spend a day at the Capitol! We'll meet at Get2College Center (Jackson). Light refreshments will be provided in the morning at check-in from 8:30 - 9:00. Lunch will be provided at the end of the Drive-in Workshop as the group departs for the Capitol. Advocacy Day at the Mississippi Capitol will be from 1:00 - 3:00.

Note that we will be acting as representatives of SACAC and as Mississippi educators, not as representatives of our respective institutions.


Time

Drive-in Workshop check-in begins at 8:30 am. The Drive-in Workshop ends at 12:15 and will be followed by Advocacy Day at the Capitol.


Location

Drive-in Workshop: Jackson Get2College Center; Advocacy Day: the Mississippi State Capitol Rotunda

The Drive-in Workshop will be held at Get2College, 2616 Lakeward Dr - Jackson MS 39216.

Advocacy Day will be held at the Mississippi State Capitol Rotunda, 400 High Street - Jackson MS 39201. Public parking is available around the Capitol Building.

Pricing

There is no fee to participate in this event. Mississippi State University is generously sponsoring the event.
